DuplicateClear Support

Review duplicate files before moving selected copies to the Windows Recycle Bin.

How to use

  • Add a folder and choose whether to include subfolders.
  • Scan for duplicates, then review each group's full file paths.
  • Choose which file to keep, select unwanted copies, and confirm the move. No files are selected by default.
  • To recover a file, restore it from the Windows Recycle Bin.

Supported files

The app targets ordinary files on local fixed drives on Windows 11 x64 and ARM64. Network shares, removable drives, links, protected system areas, and online-only files are excluded.

DuplicateClear checks identical content, not similar names or images. Moving a file to the Recycle Bin may not immediately increase free disk space by that amount.

If an operation fails

Permissions, another app using the file, changes since scanning, or Recycle Bin settings may prevent an operation. Review the displayed reason and scan again if needed. The app does not permanently delete a file when recycling fails.

Contact info@caen.co.jp with the displayed reason, Windows version, and steps to reproduce. You do not need to send the original files.
