DuplicateClear Privacy Policy
This policy describes information handled by DuplicateClear, a Windows app provided by CAEN Inc.
File processing
The app reads names, paths, sizes, modification information, contents, and alternate data streams of files in folders you select to find duplicates on your PC. Search results remain in memory while the app runs.
File contents, names, paths, and search results are not sent to our servers. The app has no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking features of its own.
Recycle Bin
Only files you select and confirm are moved to the Windows Recycle Bin. Windows handles their storage, recovery, and deletion there.
The standard Windows folder picker may remember the last location you opened.
Microsoft Store and support
Purchases, installation, and updates use Microsoft Store and are subject to Microsoft's privacy practices.
If you email us, we use the address and information you provide to respond and investigate the issue. Check any attachment for personal or sensitive information before sending it.
