Vibration Alarm Privacy Policy

CAEN Inc. explains how information is handled in Vibration Alarm below.

Storage and transmission

Alarm times, weekdays, dates, labels, vibration settings, active sessions, history, and display preferences are stored on your device. The app does not transmit this information to our servers or third parties. There are no ads, accounts, tracking, analytics SDKs, or automatic crash reports. The app does not request internet access permission.

Permissions used for alarms

  • Vibration: operates the device vibrator using your selected pattern.
  • Exact alarms: triggers alarms at the time you choose.
  • Notifications and full-screen notifications: shows active alarms and Stop/Snooze controls. Android and device settings may limit their presentation.
  • Foreground service and wake lock: keeps vibration running while an alarm is active.
  • Boot detection: restores saved alarm reservations after a restart.

Data and display while locked

Data is kept in Android device-protected storage so reservations can be restored before the first unlock after a restart. Alarm labels may appear on the lock screen or in notifications. Avoid entering information you do not want other people to see in labels.

Manual backups

Only when you choose to export, the app writes alarm settings to a JSON file in your selected location. This file includes times, weekdays, dates, labels, and vibration settings. It does not include active sessions, history, or display preferences. Backup files are not encrypted.

If you select a cloud-enabled file provider, that provider may upload the file. Consult that service's privacy policy for its handling of information. Import runs after your confirmation, preserves existing alarms, and adds imported alarms in the disabled state.

Retention and deletion

The app keeps up to 200 history entries, which can be removed from the History screen. Alarms can be deleted from the alarm list. Clearing app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app removes its on-device data. When unreadable data is recovered by importing a backup, the original data is preserved in the app's private storage. Clearing app storage or uninstalling also removes that preserved copy.

Exported backup files remain after uninstalling the app. Delete them from the location you selected. The app's storage is excluded from Android automatic backups and device transfer.
