Ultra Slow Audio Support

Ultra Slow Audio slows common audio down to 1/32× on iPhone and exports the result as M4A or WAV.

Supported audio

You can import common audio formats that iPhone can play, including M4A, MP3, WAV, AIFF, and CAF. Choose a file from Files, iCloud Drive, or a sharing action in an app such as Voice Memos.

Copyright-protected audio, including Apple Music subscription tracks, cannot be processed. Use an unprotected audio file you purchased or created yourself.

If recording does not start

Check that microphone access is enabled for Ultra Slow Audio under Privacy & Security in the Settings app. If a phone call, Siri, alarm, or another interruption occurs while recording, stop and try the recording again.

If playback or export does not finish

First confirm that the original file plays at normal speed. Long audio and slower speeds need more processing time and free storage. Free some space, choose M4A for long audio, and keep the export screen open until it finishes.

If audio stops after a Bluetooth device disconnects, stop playback, check the output route, and start again. If the issue continues, quit the app and restart the iPhone before trying again.

Saving and deletion

Exported audio can be shared again or individually deleted from Export History. Deleting a project removes its imported audio and related exports from the device. Delete copies saved to Files or another destination from that destination separately.

Reset Defaults restores the initial speed and related settings; it does not delete existing audio or projects.

What to include when contacting support

If you still need help, include your iPhone model, iOS version, source format and approximate duration, selected speed, pitch mode, export format, and any displayed message. Do not send the audio file itself unless we explain why it is needed and specifically ask for it.

FAQ

Does audio processing require an internet connection?

No. Import, recording, playback, processing, and export happen on the device. A web connection is needed only to view this support page.

Can I slow audio without lowering its pitch?

Yes. Preserve Pitch slows voices or instruments down to 1/32× while retaining their pitch. Tape Style lowers pitch along with speed.
