ScreenLinen Support

A Windows desktop utility that adds a still texture or warm tint to your screen.

Getting started

  • The filter starts off on first launch. Choose Paper, Grain or Warm and turn on Enable filter. Choosing a preset alone does not enable the filter.
  • Adjust texture strength from 0 to 40% and warmth from 0 to 35%. Choose all monitors or individual monitors. Selecting none displays no filter.
  • Toggle the filter in settings or the tray. The shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V. If registration conflicts, use settings or the tray.
  • Close or X hides settings to the tray while the filter continues. Double-click the tray icon or launch the app again to reopen settings. Exit stops the filter and the process.
  • In Behavior, choose Japanese, English or Windows language. Exit and restart the app to apply the language. Sign-in startup is initially off and can be configured in the installed version.

Supported use

A supported Windows 11 installation is recommended. The technical minimum API level is build 19041. Self-contained x64/ARM64 builds do not require a separate .NET installation, internet connection or external account for normal use.

Paper and grain are still patterns. Warmth is a transparent color overlay, without hardware brightness or color-temperature calibration or guaranteed medical benefits. Filters do not appear on UAC, lock screens, protected surfaces or some exclusive fullscreen applications.

Capture exclusion is a request to Windows. Some recording or sharing methods may include the filter. Check your recording or meeting software before use.

Troubleshooting

Turn the filter off and on to retry display problems. If the previous session ended abnormally, the filter starts off for safety. Enable it again in settings or the tray.

Check disk space and write permissions on save errors. Damaged settings may be recovered from a backup. Older app versions do not overwrite newer settings schemas. Keep separate copies of important preferences.
