ScreenLinen Privacy Policy

Information handling in the ScreenLinen Windows app provided by CAEN Inc.

Processing on your device

Paper, grain and warm transparent filters are generated locally. The app reads monitor identifiers, resolution and DPI to choose display targets, and window positions and state for fullscreen pause and virtual desktop following. It does not capture screen images, collect window contents or typed text, or read the clipboard.

The app has no advertising, analytics, account registration, custom-server connection or automatic uploads of activity or settings.

Stored information

Filter state, texture and strength, warmth, selected monitor identifiers, behavior and display language are saved under CAEN/ScreenVeil in local application data. Settings backups and a marker for the previous session are also stored. Windows may virtualize this location for an MSIX package.

On errors, a size-limited local file records the time, operation, error type and message. Messages may include a storage path. Screen images and typed text are not recorded, and diagnostic files are not uploaded automatically. Close the app before manually deleting local files. Files saved or copied outside package storage may remain after uninstalling.

Purchases and support

Microsoft Store handles purchases, delivery and updates. The app has no separate payments, additional charges or subscriptions. Microsoft services and Windows diagnostics are covered by its privacy statement.

Your support email address, message and optional diagnostic information are used to respond and investigate. You do not need to send confidential information or screen content.
