QR Reader Support
QR Reader reads QR codes with your camera or from photos. Review the result, then choose whether to open a link, copy, share, or use another supported action.
If a code cannot be read
- Place the entire QR code inside the frame and adjust the lighting or distance. Use the light in dark places, or zoom for small codes.
- If camera access was denied, use the app's prompt to open Settings and allow camera access. You can also scan from a photo.
- For photo scanning, choose an image that clearly shows the entire QR code. If there are multiple codes, select the one you want from the results list.
- If the problem continues, close and reopen the app, then check for app and operating system updates.
History and deleting data
You can search history, mark favorites, and delete individual records. To clear all history, use the History menu or Settings. The app cannot restore deleted history.
Turn off history saving in Settings if you do not want to keep new scans. Delete existing history separately if needed. Deleting the app also removes its local app data, so copy or share any contents you need first.
Contact support
Email info@caen.co.jp with your app version, iOS version, device model, and the steps that caused the issue. Do not send QR codes containing real passwords or personal information. If possible, provide a sample with confidential information removed.
FAQ
Can the app connect to Wi-Fi automatically?
For Wi-Fi QR codes, you can view and copy the network name and password. The app does not connect to Wi-Fi automatically.
Does the app guarantee that links are safe?
The app warns about HTTP links, IP addresses, internationalized domains, and other patterns. These warnings do not guarantee that a destination is safe. Check the domain and contents before opening a link.
Why is there no scan sound?
Check that scan sounds are enabled in Settings. Sounds may not play while your device is in silent mode.
