PingLattice Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles information in the PingLattice Windows app.

Network requests

The app sends ICMP Echo requests (Ping) to the target you specify only when you select Start. Hostnames use Windows name resolution, whose servers follow Windows and network settings.

The app does not send usage, targets, settings, or results to CAEN Inc. servers. It has no account registration, ads, analytics SDK, or cloud sync.

Local storage and exports

The app stores favorite names and targets, measurement options, language, theme, always-on-top preference, and window size locally. You can turn off saving recent targets and the last input. Favorites are saved separately from this option.

Results stay in memory and are discarded when the app exits. Save CSV and copy commands output data only to the file you choose or the Windows clipboard. Clipboard history and sync follow your Windows settings.

Startup and UI exceptions are recorded locally in a bounded diagnostic log containing exception types and call locations. The app does not add entered targets or exception messages to this log or send it automatically.

Deletion and recovery

You can clear recent targets in Settings. Unreadable or newer-format settings are kept in separate recovery files, which may contain earlier targets. Clearing recents does not remove recovery files or CSV files you exported.

You can reset Store app data through Windows app settings. Make a note of settings you want to keep first. Delete exported CSV files separately.

Microsoft Store and support

Microsoft's terms and privacy policy apply to purchases, distribution, updates, and Windows diagnostics. The app has no separate billing or in-app purchases.

Email addresses, inquiry details, and diagnostic information you choose to share are used to reply and investigate. Do not send confidential hostnames, IP addresses, results, or settings files. Contact CAEN Inc. at info@caen.co.jp.
