Japanese Address Converter Support
Japanese Address Converter helps enter a Japanese address into Address Line, City, State / Prefecture, and other fields used by overseas forms.
Basic use
- Enter the Japanese address, including postal code, prefecture, municipality, street number, building, and room number.
- Tap Convert and review the Address Line, City, State / Prefecture, Postal Code, and Country fields.
- Edit fields if necessary, then copy an individual field, copy all fields, or share the result. If the destination site provides its own example, follow that example.
Use Sample Input on the first screen to check the workflow without entering a personal address.
If conversion fails or is incomplete
- Include the seven-digit postal code and enter the address from prefecture through room number without omissions.
- Check that the postal code, prefecture, and locality match.
- Check the network connection when Apple geocoding is needed. Addresses identified through the bundled postal-code database can be converted offline.
- If a building or proper name has an official Roman-letter spelling, edit the converted field to use it.
Saving and deleting history
By default, up to 100 conversion results are stored only on the device. Turn off Save History on This Device in the Guide tab to prevent new entries from being saved.
Swipe an item in History to delete it. Use Delete All History in the History menu or Guide tab to remove every entry. Turning off saving alone does not delete existing entries.
Copy and share
If copied text cannot be pasted, reopen the destination app and copy it again. Display and storage by a share destination depend on that app or service.
Address data and results
The app uses Japan Post Roman-letter postal address data for prefectures, municipalities, and localities. Postal data and destination-site requirements can change, so review results before important shipping or identity-verification use.
The app is an input aid and cannot guarantee acceptance or delivery by a carrier, retailer, financial institution, or other third party.
System requirements
The app supports iPhone devices running iOS 17 or later. We recommend using the latest iOS and app version.
