Frame Video Player Support

Find help for common Frame Video Player tasks and video access problems.

Getting started

  • Choose a video from device storage, an SD card, or a supported cloud file provider with Open video. You can also open a video from another app's share menu.
  • Pause playback, then use the one-frame backward and forward buttons. Hold a button to keep moving through frames.
  • Choose Save frame while paused to write the current frame as a PNG to Pictures/FrameVideoPlayer.

If a video will not open

Supported formats and resolutions depend on the video decoder in your Android device. If access to a video has expired, choose it again in the file picker. Copy-protected videos and formats unsupported by the device may not open.

Restart the app and device, then try selecting a local copy of the video. HDR frame viewing and PNG export require device support for SDR conversion.

Deleting history and saved data

Removing a video from the list also removes its bookmarks and any copy stored by the app. The original video and saved PNG files remain. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings removes local history, settings, bookmarks, and app-specific copies.
