How to compare the same text in multiple installed fonts.
Getting started
- Enter text or choose a sample, then select fonts from the list and add them.
- Adjust font size, weight, width, italic, line height, spacing, alignment and preview colors under the same conditions.
- Use a card's star for favorites, arrows to reorder and × to remove a font from the comparison. Installed fonts are not deleted.
- Use File to save or open comparisons or export a PNG. Change Japanese/English and theme in the footer.
Environment and limits
FontRows targets Windows 10 build 19041 or later and Windows 11 desktops. Validation is being performed on Windows 11 x64. Check the available Store package for supported devices.
Compare up to 32 fonts and enter up to 4,000 UTF-16 code units. PNG exports are 1,080px wide and at most 12,000px tall. Reduce text, fonts, size or line height if you exceed the limit.
Fonts and saved comparisons
Missing characters may use Windows fallback fonts or missing-glyph symbols. Character coverage does not guarantee ligature or emoji combinations. A close or synthesized style may be used if the selected weight, width or italic style is unavailable.
To open a comparison on another PC, install the same fonts there. Font installation and use remain subject to each font's license.
Saving a restored workspace to a file requires choosing a location. Preserve unreadable files and check another location or a backup before making changes.
