File Date Editor Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles information in the Windows app File Date Editor.
Basic policy
File Date Editor is a local Windows app that changes the creation, modification, and access timestamps of files selected by the user.
The app has no app-operated server communication, advertising, analytics, tracking, or account registration. It does not collect, sell, or share the contents of your files.
Files and timestamp information
The app reads file paths, file identity information, sizes, timestamps, and attributes on Windows to inspect selected files and apply timestamp changes. It does not read or write file contents.
Links, junctions, cloud placeholders, and special device paths that cannot be safely identified are not processed. If you use a network share, Windows accesses the share selected by you.
Local undo information
To undo the most recent timestamp change, the app stores file paths, identity information, sizes, and timestamps before and after the change on your device. This undo information is not sent to a CAEN server.
Running a new change replaces the undoable history with that latest operation. Uninstalling the app may remove app data and undo information stored on the device.
Microsoft Store and third-party services
Microsoft manages Microsoft Store purchases, distribution, updates, refunds, receipts, and payment methods. CAEN Inc. does not receive payment-card numbers or Microsoft account credentials.
Windows, network shares, cloud synchronization services, and other storage providers that you choose are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Information provided in support inquiries
We use the email address, inquiry content, and any diagnostic information you choose to provide to respond, contact you, and investigate the issue. The app does not automatically send files or diagnostic information.
Review file paths and logs for personal or confidential information before attaching them to an inquiry.

Changes to this policy
CAEN Inc. may update this policy when app features, laws, or service operations change. The updated policy will be posted on this page.
