DirMemo Support
Learn how to save and find notes for folders and how to protect your data.
Basic steps
- 1. Add a folder with Add folder or drag a folder from File Explorer into the app.
- 2. Select the folder in the list and write a note. Changes are saved automatically.
- 3. Organize notes with search, pins, and sorting by name or recent activity.
- 4. Restore deleted notes in the app. Use Settings to export or import a backup.
Supported environment and limits
DirMemo provides x64 and ARM64 packages for Windows 10 version 19041 or later and Windows 11. App behavior has been verified on Windows 11 x64.
DirMemo stores folder paths and notes on this PC. If you move or rename a folder, choose its new location in the app. DirMemo does not synchronize notes between PCs.
If a note or folder is missing
- If a folder was moved or renamed, choose its new location from the corresponding note in the list.
- Notes in the deleted list can be restored in the app.
- If data cannot be imported, keep the original backup and check the file name and error message.
- Uninstalling may remove app data. Export a backup from Settings first.

If the issue continues, email info@caen.co.jp with DirMemo in the subject, your Windows and app versions, the error shown, and the steps before the issue. You do not need to send note text or the contents of referenced folders.
Review logs for personal or confidential information before sharing them.
FAQ
Are notes stored inside my folders?
No. Notes are stored in this PC's app-specific data. DirMemo does not add files to the referenced folders.
Can I use my notes on another PC?
The app has no automatic sync. Export a backup from Settings and import it on the other PC.
Do I need internet access or an account?
Notes do not require internet access or an account. Microsoft Store handles purchase, installation, and updates.
