DirMemo Privacy Policy
This policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles information in the DirMemo Windows app.
Information handled by the app
DirMemo stores the paths of folders you add, the notes you write, and your display preferences in this PC's app-specific data. It does not read the file listings or contents of referenced folders. It checks whether a folder exists and opens a folder in File Explorer when you ask.
The app has no ads, analytics, tracking, account registration, or automatic transmission to a server operated by CAEN Inc.
Backups
When you choose to export or import a backup, DirMemo reads or writes a JSON file containing folder paths and notes at a location you select. Backups are not sent elsewhere automatically. Review a backup before sharing it.
Storage and deletion
Notes and preferences are stored in this PC's app-specific data. Deleted notes can be restored in the app. Permanently deleted information and app data removed during uninstall may not be recoverable. Export a backup before uninstalling.
Microsoft Store and support inquiries
Microsoft Store handles paid purchases, order information, app delivery, and updates. DirMemo has no separate payment service or in-app purchases. Microsoft's privacy statement applies to information handled by Microsoft.
Email addresses, inquiry details, and diagnostic information you choose to provide are used to reply and investigate the issue. Before attaching notes or logs, check that they contain no personal or confidential information.
