Audio Reverser Support
Audio Reverser records or imports audio, reverses it on your iPhone, compares the original and reversed versions, and saves or shares M4A and WAV files.
Getting started
- On the home screen, choose Record and Reverse or Import Audio File.
- After import, the reversed version is created on your device while the original remains available.
- In the editor, switch between Original and Reversed and drag across the waveform to play from any position.
- Choose Save & Share, select the original or reversed audio and M4A or WAV, then choose a destination in the iOS share menu.
If recording does not work
Allow microphone access for Audio Reverser in iOS Settings. If another app is using the microphone, close it and try again.
A call, audio-session interruption, or moving the App to the background pauses recording. Return to the App and resume when ready.
If an audio file cannot be imported
The App imports common audio files that iPhone can play. If a file cannot be imported, convert it to a common format such as M4A, WAV, or MP3 and try again.
Confirm that the source file has not been moved or deleted and that the device has enough free storage. Importing requires space to copy the selected file into the App's storage.
If reversal or export does not finish
Long audio may take time to process. Keep enough storage available and leave the App open until processing finishes. If you stop a reversal, the original remains available and you can rebuild the reversed version from the editor.
If Save & Share fails, free up storage and try again. If a problem occurs only with a particular destination, choose another destination or contact that app or service's provider.
Playback
If you cannot hear audio, check volume, silent settings, and the selected Bluetooth or AirPlay output. Speed, pitch, and loop adjustments affect preview playback only and are not applied to saved audio.
Deletion and recovery
Deleting a project removes its original audio, reversed audio, waveform, and project information from the App's storage. The App has no independent cloud sync or restore-after-deletion feature. Save important audio outside the App before deletion.
Copies saved outside the App are not removed and must be managed at their destination.
FAQ
Does reversal overwrite my original audio?
No. The original and reversed audio are stored separately and can be selected in the editor.
Is processed audio sent to a server?
No. Recording, importing, reversal, and waveform creation happen on your iPhone. Audio is passed to another destination only when you choose one in the iOS share menu.
Which devices and OS versions are supported?
Audio Reverser supports iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
