Audio Extract Support
Get started with audio extraction and find help with common issues.
Basic steps
- 1. Add a video with Add files or drag and drop.
- 2. Select the audio track and output format you want.
- 3. Use Browse to choose a destination, then select Extract audio.
- 4. Use Open on the completed row or Open folder to find the result.
System requirements and output formats
For Windows 10 version 22H2 or later and Windows 11 on x64. WSL and Ubuntu are not required to use the app.
Choose MP3, M4A (AAC), WAV or FLAC, or use Original audio to extract supported audio without re-encoding. Available operations depend on the audio codec in your video.

Sending the original video is not required. Review any diagnostic log for local file paths before sharing it.
FAQ
No audio track
Choose a video containing an audio track. A video can play even if it has no audio.
Unsupported conversion
Try Original audio. Re-encoding AC-3, E-AC-3, DTS, TrueHD, WMA and ALAC is not supported. Some tracks can be extracted without re-encoding.
Temporary WAV limit
Some conversions require a temporary WAV file, limited to 3.5 GiB. Try Original audio, or M4A for an AAC source. Tracks with an unknown duration may also be unavailable for conversion paths that require this temporary WAV.
Windows media components unavailable
Windows N or other editions may lack the necessary media components. Original audio may still work. The app does not automatically install codecs.
The app cannot start
Try starting it again. If it still fails, the diagnostic log location shown in the error message can help investigate the cause. If no log could be saved, tell us the error details displayed in the message. Logs are not sent automatically.
