Audio Extract Privacy Policy
Audio Extract is a Windows app provided by CAEN Inc. for extracting audio from selected videos.
Local audio processing
The app does not send videos, audio, file names or destination paths to an app server or an external AI service. It has no in-app advertising, analytics or account registration.
Preferences and files
The app stores destination, output format and audio quality preferences in the per-user application data folder on this PC. It does not keep a conversion history or a copy of the original video. Output audio is saved to the folder you select.
During extraction, temporary files are created in the destination folder and removed after normal cancellation or failure. Temporary files may remain after a forced shutdown or power loss.
Startup failure diagnostics
If startup fails, the app saves the date and time, app, OS and runtime versions, language, and exception details to AudioExtract/Diagnostics/startup-error.log in the per-user application data folder.
Exception details may contain local file paths. Only the latest startup failure is kept, up to 65,536 characters. The app does not automatically send the log anywhere. You can delete it when it is no longer needed.
Cloud synchronization and Microsoft Store
Input videos and destinations used by the Windows conversion path must be local files. If a local folder is synchronized with a cloud service, its transfers and synchronization follow the settings of Windows and that service.
Microsoft provides Microsoft Store purchases, distribution and updates. The Microsoft Privacy Statement applies to those services.
Information provided in support inquiries
We use the email address, inquiry content and any diagnostic information you choose to share to respond to your inquiry and investigate the issue. The app does not automatically send your original videos or diagnostic logs. Review any log for local file paths before sharing it.
