Aozora Bunko Gacha Support
Aozora Bunko Gacha is an iPhone app for drawing a random work from Aozora Bunko and reading it vertically or horizontally. This page covers common issues and solutions.
Requirements
- iOS 17 or later
- iPhone
- An internet connection is required for the first download of a work and for purchases or restorations
If a work does not open
- Check the internet connection and try again after a short wait.
- If Aozora Bunko changes a text URL, the App attempts to resolve the current URL from the work's card page.
- Previously saved works can be opened from the library while offline.
Purchases and restoration
- Up to five books can be used free of charge. A one-time In-App Purchase removes the book limit.
- If a previous purchase is not recognized, open Settings and select Restore Purchase.
- Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase.
- If the purchase is pending, wait until the App Store approval is completed.
Apple manages payment and purchase information. CAEN Inc. cannot inspect or change payment methods.
iCloud sync
- Enable iCloud library sync in Settings to sync the library and reading positions across devices using the same Apple Account.
- If syncing fails, confirm that iCloud Drive is enabled in iPhone Settings.
- Turning sync off does not delete the on-device library.
Deleting downloaded works
Settings can remove text and images saved for offline reading. Library items, reading positions, favorites, and bookmarks remain. Works can be downloaded again while online.
Deleting all on-device data
Delete the App from the iPhone to remove all on-device data, including the library and settings. Handling of synced data also depends on Apple iCloud settings.

FAQ
Can I restore the purchase after changing devices?
Yes. Use the same Apple Account and select Restore Purchase in Settings.
Can I remove a free book and add another one?
No. A work remains part of the five-book free allowance after it is removed from the library, and it remains available to read again.
