Zoom Camera Privacy Policy
CAEN Inc. provides Zoom Camera for Android. This policy explains how the app handles data.
Operator and scope
CAEN Inc. provides Zoom Camera for Android. This policy explains how the app handles data.
Camera and photos
Camera permission is used for previews and photography. Images are processed on your device and saved as JPEG files in Pictures/ZoomCamera. Saved EXIF may include capture time, device model and exposure information. GPS tags from the source image are not copied into the saved JPEG. The app does not request microphone, location or full photo-library access.
Settings and temporary files
Zoom, output size, other preferences, help history and information for recovering interrupted saves are stored in app-private storage. Temporary capture and processing JPEGs are cleaned up after processing or at the next launch. Android backup of app-private data is disabled.
Transmission and sharing
The app has no internet permission, ads, analytics, accounts or built-in cloud sync. Libraries including CameraX and ExifInterface support on-device photography and processing. When you choose to share, the selected photo and its saved EXIF are passed to the app you select in the Android share sheet with temporary read access. The receiving service applies its own policies. Your device photo-backup service may sync saved photos according to your settings.
Purchases and support
Google Play processes paid-app purchases and payments. The app does not receive payment-card details. Email addresses and messages you send to support are used to respond and investigate problems, and retained for as long as needed for those purposes. Sending photos is optional. Opening policy or support pages in a browser sends ordinary access information, such as an IP address, to the hosting provider.
Retention and deletion
Delete photos in the app or your device photo app. Uninstalling does not delete photos in shared storage. After reinstalling, this app cannot retrieve previous photos in its gallery; use your device photo app to view them. Resetting preferences resets camera settings without deleting photos. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes app-private settings and temporary data. Contact us by email to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any legal retention requirements.
