Features and use
For documents and data entry with mixed half-width and full-width text, WidthConverter lets you choose a width for letters, digits, katakana, symbols and spaces, then compare the input with the converted result. • Common presets and automatic preview • Keep, half-width or full-width settings for five character types • Copy, save under a different name, use the result as input, undo and redo • UTF-8, UTF-16 and explicitly selected Shift-JIS (CP932) text files • Japanese and English interface, light/dark themes, text size and wrapping Paste text or open a file, then choose your conversion settings. Kanji, hiragana, circled digits, emoji and other unsupported characters stay unchanged. Save results under a different name to preserve the original file. Input is limited to 2,000,000 UTF-16 units, opened files to 8 MiB and saved output to 4,000,000 UTF-16 units. Characters that cannot be encoded are reported rather than replaced. Processing stays on your PC; no account or internet connection is needed. One-time purchase, with no ads, in-app purchases or subscription.

Check all five category settings if the result differs from what you expected. Choose an encoding explicitly when auto-detection fails. Use UTF-8 for text that Shift-JIS cannot encode.
