Web Image Saver & Converter Privacy Policy
CAEN Inc. (the “Company”) establishes this Privacy Policy for the iOS app Web Image Saver & Converter (displayed in the app as Web Image Saver; the “App”).
1. Information we collect
The App does not collect names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, browsing history, search history, or other information used to identify or track a user on Company servers. The App has no account registration, advertising, behavioral analytics, crash analytics, or third-party login.
The App includes no third-party SDKs and performs no tracking. Apple provides App Store purchase and distribution services, and Apple's privacy policy applies to Apple's handling of information for those services.
2. Data stored on the device
The App stores the output format, JPEG quality, resize option, filename suffix, total saved image count, completed save session count, latest save date and success or failure counts, completed conversion count, and whether the App Store review request has already appeared in App Group UserDefaults. This data is not sent to Company servers.
WebP or AVIF images explicitly imported from Files and their converted outputs are stored in the App's temporary directory. They are removed when the converter is cleared or recreated and may also be removed by iOS.
3. Access to Safari web pages
The Safari extension accesses HTML, CSS, image URLs, and related page content on an HTTP or HTTPS page where the user opens the extension, solely to find images. Page scanning starts after the user opens the extension.
Retrieving an image communicates with the website being viewed or its image host. The App does not send page information, image URLs, or image data to CAEN Inc. servers and does not persist them as browsing history. Each website's privacy policy applies to its own handling of information.
If the user selects the Try in Safari, support, privacy policy, or developer link in the App, the requested web page opens in Safari. The App does not attach page information or image data to the destination.
4. Access to Photos
The App uses add-only Photos permission to save images the user selects. It does not read existing photos. If permission is not granted, features that do not add to Photos, such as ZIP sharing and file sharing, remain available.
5. Disclosure to third parties
Because the Company does not collect user information through the App, it does not sell or disclose user information obtained from the App. Even if legally requested, the Company cannot provide device-only data that it does not possess.
6. Deleting data
Using Clear in the file converter removes imported images and converted outputs immediately. Deleting the App removes its App Group UserDefaults data and temporary files from the device. Images already saved to Photos and images or ZIP files exported to Files or another destination are not deleted automatically.
7. Children's privacy
The App is not offered in the Kids category. Because it can be used with arbitrary web pages, parents and guardians should configure parental controls and Safari content restrictions as appropriate.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy in response to legal requirements, OS changes, or App feature changes. Material changes will be announced on this page or in App Store release information.
