Water Reminder Privacy Policy
Water Reminder is an Android app for logging drinks and scheduling reminders.
Information stored on your device
The app stores drink amounts, types and dates or times that you enter, along with daily goals, cup sizes, and reminder hours, weekdays and intervals. It does not ask for your name, email address, location, weight or account information.
Records and settings stay in storage reserved for this app.
Transmission and third parties
The app has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and does not connect to an operator server. It does not send your records or settings to the operator or other parties.
Notification permission is used for reminders and record confirmations. Notifications may show the last drink amount and today's total and goal. The home-screen widget also shows today's total and goal. What appears depends on your Android notification and home-screen settings. The app receives device-start events to restore scheduled reminders after a restart and uses vibration according to your notification settings.
Backups and CSV files
When you export data, Android's file picker saves a JSON backup or CSV to the location you choose. These files are not encrypted. The app does not send them to a cloud service on its own.
If you choose cloud storage, its provider handles the file according to your settings and that provider's terms. A file shared with another app may also be handled by that app's provider.
Deletion
Use Delete all data in the app's Settings to remove local records and settings. Uninstalling the app also removes information in the app's private storage.
Deleting the app does not remove JSON or CSV files that you exported. Delete those files from their storage location yourself.
Health information
This app records drink amounts and provides reminders. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition or determine medical fluid requirements. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice and follow any fluid limits they give you.
