Privacy Policy
Compress selected videos on your Android device, then save and share them.
Videos and local data
Video Compressor - VideoMin reads videos you choose using the photo picker, file picker or another app’s share action, and compresses them on your device. It does not upload videos to our servers.
Video URIs, temporary files, compression history, preferences, successful compression counts and review prompt timing are stored locally. History includes filenames, output URIs, sizes, duration, dimensions, codec and processing time.
Permissions and storage
Notification permission supports progress and completion notices. Foreground services support ongoing video processing. The app does not request broad photo/video access or the INTERNET permission.
Compressed videos are saved to Movies/VideoMin in shared storage. Originals are not modified. When you select a cloud-backed file, its provider app may download it.
Services and sharing
There are no ads, analytics, account registration or tracking. AndroidX Media3 is used for video processing and playback.
The app uses Google Play’s review feature. Google Play processes user-entered ratings and reviews under its own terms and may publish them. You can delete reviews through Google Play.
When you choose to share, the selected video is passed to your chosen app. That app’s policies govern its subsequent handling.
Retention and deletion
Deleting history attempts to delete both the history entry and its compressed video. If the video cannot be accessed, delete it using your gallery or file manager. Originals are not deleted.
Temporary-file cleanup excludes files needed for active processing and leaves completed videos intact. Uninstalling removes private history, preferences and cache, but exported videos and shared copies may remain.
