Symmetry Camera Privacy Policy
CAEN Inc. processes photos and videos on your device in Symmetry Camera.
Collection and transmission
Captured photos, videos and thumbnails are not sent to the developer or Sentry. Saving to Photos and sharing follow your actions and settings. The app has no advertising, advertising tracking or account registration.
Diagnostics and Sentry
We use Sentry to investigate failures and improve app stability. We send crash and hang diagnostics, CPU and disk-write diagnostics, and error information when capturing, recording, saving, sharing or related operations fail. This includes the device model, OS and app versions, operation records needed for diagnosis, and a random identifier generated for each installation.
The identifier is used to measure the number of affected installations and crash rates. It is not linked to names, email addresses, accounts or advertising IDs, and is not used for advertising or tracking across other apps.
Photos, videos, screenshots, captured-media filenames and storage paths, names and email addresses are not sent as diagnostic data. Sentry is configured not to store IP addresses or geographic information inferred from IP addresses.
On-device storage
Photos, videos, thumbnails, album information, camera settings and information needed to retry saving are stored on your device. Saving to Photos and sharing follow your actions and settings. iCloud Photos and device backups are governed by Apple's services and your device settings.
Permissions
- Camera: to capture photos and videos.
- Microphone: to record videos with sound.
- Add to Photos: only to save media to Photos. The app does not read your photo library.
Deletion
You can delete captures from the in-app Library. Deleting the app removes data stored only within it. Copies saved to Photos or shared elsewhere must be deleted at those destinations.
Deleting the app or captured media does not immediately delete diagnostic data already sent to Sentry. Diagnostic data is retained according to Sentry retention settings and used to investigate and improve the app.
Public pages and support
When you open a public page, its hosting provider may process IP addresses and other data needed to deliver the page. If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message to respond and handle your request. You do not need to send your captures.
