CAEN Inc. does not collect app usage data or on-device records on its servers. The app has no account registration, advertising, analytics, tracking or in-app purchases.
Information stored on your device
The app stores journey names, temple visit dates and times, notes, favorites, selected photos and downloaded map tiles on your device.
Maps and location
Map display and downloads you request fetch Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) map tiles over HTTPS. Maps are rendered using MapLibre Native Android. Requested tile coordinates reveal the approximate area being viewed to GSI.
Current-location and distance displays are used after your action and location permission. The app does not send raw latitude and longitude directly to GSI, but requesting tiles around your current location reveals that area to the map provider. You can revoke location permission in Android settings.
Deletion and backup
Stored data can be removed by deleting records, clearing app data or uninstalling. Unreferenced photos are cleaned up on a later app launch after at least seven days have passed.
App-private data is excluded from automatic backup. Keep records you need by exporting ZIP backups or CSV files.
Saving and sharing you request
ZIP and CSV saving or sharing occur when you request them. Your selected file destination may be a cloud service. The app does not encrypt exported files. Exported files remain after the app is removed; delete them separately at their destination.
