ScriptScroll Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles user information in the iOS app ScriptScroll.
Basic Policy
ScriptScroll is a PDF viewer designed to make vertically written scripts easier to read on iPhone.
CAEN Inc. does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location obtained through GPS or similar methods, contacts, advertising identifiers, or identifiers used for advertising tracking through ScriptScroll. We collect the diagnostic information described below to investigate failures and improve app stability.
PDFs and Reading Data
PDFs added to the app are stored locally inside the app.
PDF contents, file names, added dates, last reading positions, margin settings, and reading settings are managed on your device and are not uploaded to CAEN servers.
When you delete the app, PDFs and related data stored inside the app may also be deleted. Please keep separate copies of important PDFs.
App Store Purchases
From version 1.0.1, a single App Store purchase provides access to all features. There are no additional in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Purchase processing, payment information, and refunds are managed by Apple. CAEN Inc. does not receive credit card numbers, Apple Account passwords, or billing information.
From version 1.0.1, the app does not query in-app purchases through StoreKit or collect purchase history.
Accounts, Advertising, and Tracking
ScriptScroll does not require account registration or login.
ScriptScroll does not include advertising or tracking for advertising purposes. We use Sentry to diagnose failures.
Failure Diagnostics
Builds of version 1.0.1 and later that include Sentry send diagnostic information about crashes, hangs, and failures such as loading, saving, or deleting PDFs to Sentry. This includes error types, stack information, OS and device model, app version, startup/end/crash session records, and a random identifier generated for each installation.
Sentry infers an approximate country or city from the network IP address and adds it to diagnostic events. We use this approximate region to investigate failures. We do not obtain location from GPS or use this information for advertising.
We use diagnostics to investigate failures and improve app stability. We do not associate the identifier with names, email addresses, accounts, or advertising identifiers. We process diagnostic information to exclude PDF contents, file names, reading positions, margin settings, and user input. We do not send screen recordings or screenshots.
Transmission to Third-Party Services
PDFs and reading data stored on your device are not sent to external services, including the diagnostics service. Please refer to Sentry’s Privacy Policy for how Sentry handles information.
Privacy and support links open in your browser. Contact emails reach CAEN Inc. only when you choose to send them from your mail app.
Changes to This Policy
CAEN Inc. may update this Privacy Policy when app features, legal requirements, or operational needs change. The updated policy will be posted on this page.
