This Privacy Policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles user information in the iOS and Android app Photo Compressor: Size Limit.
Basic Policy
Photo Compressor: Size Limit is a photo compression app that reduces selected photos to fit a specified file size limit.
CAEN Inc. does not collect, store, sell, or share names, email addresses, phone numbers, location information, photos, metadata, processing results, usage history, advertising identifiers, device identifiers for tracking, or usage analytics data through Photo Compressor: Size Limit.
Photos and Metadata
The app loads only photos or image files explicitly selected by the user and compresses them on the device.
Photos, metadata, compressed images, processing results, and usage history are not uploaded to CAEN servers.
Only when you choose to save, compressed images are saved to the photo library or to a destination you select. Original photos are not modified or deleted.
Permissions Requested by the App
Photo selection access: The iOS or Android system photo picker is used to load only photos you explicitly select.
Photo saving access: Used to save completed images to the device photo library. Android 10 and later use MediaStore; Android 9 and earlier may request storage permission only when saving.
File access: The system file picker is used to read only the images and destination folders you select.
The app processes images only when you select them. It does not collect or transmit your entire photo library or file storage.
Data Stored on Your Device
The selected size limit, output format, dimensions, and metadata settings are stored in the app's private storage so they can be reused the next time you open the app.
On Android, temporary copies of selected and compressed images are created in the app cache for processing and sharing. They are removed by a new processing session, device cache management, or uninstalling the app.
Completed images that you save to the photo library or a selected folder are managed and deleted by you on the device.
Accounts, Advertising, and Tracking
Photo Compressor: Size Limit does not require account registration or login.
Photo Compressor: Size Limit does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
Transmission to Third-Party Services
Photo Compressor: Size Limit does not transmit photos, metadata, processing results, or usage history to third-party services.
When you use the share button, handling by the destination app or service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.
