MouseCoordinates Privacy Policy
MouseCoordinates is a Windows app provided by CAEN Inc. It displays the pointer position and copies coordinates selected by the user.
Information used on your device
- Pointer coordinates and display-layout information are used for display and copying.
- Recent captured positions remain in memory only while the app is running. You can clear them in the app, and they are discarded on exit.
- Display mode, copy format, shortcuts, language, theme, and window position and size are saved locally. Backup or recovery copies of preference files may be created.
- Mouse clicks are detected during an active position-picking operation. The app does not save normal click history or mouse movement trails.
Diagnostic logs
For troubleshooting, small local log files may contain a timestamp, operation name, error type and code, and call stack. They do not contain coordinates, mouse activity or clipboard text. Logs stay on the device and are not automatically sent to the provider.
Clipboard and external services
Copying writes coordinate text to the Windows clipboard. The app does not read or save the previous clipboard content. Other applications and Windows clipboard history or synchronization features may access the copied text.
The app does not include accounts, advertising or behavioral analytics. Problem diagnostics are sent to Sentry as described below. The provider does not receive coordinates or preferences through the app.
Microsoft Store purchases and updates, diagnostics performed by Windows and Microsoft components, and Windows clipboard history and synchronization are governed by their respective settings and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Deleting local information
Clear the in-app history or exit the app to discard recent positions. The Store version keeps settings and logs in its package-local data area. Resetting the app from Windows installed-app settings resets that area.
Windows clipboard history is separate. Content remaining there after uninstalling the app can be deleted from Windows settings.

Problem diagnostics and Sentry
To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
