MicEdge Support

A Windows app that shows the selected microphone mute state at the edge of the screen.

Getting started and checks

Select the call app's microphone and compare its Windows state. Use the tray menu to reset placement if the indicator becomes hard to find.

Scope and limitations

The indicator shows Windows device state, not a meeting app mute, recording activity, or whether others receive your voice. Hardware switches and exclusive-mode changes may not be reported to Windows. Full-screen games or protected screens may hide the indicator.

Audio and data

Reads Windows microphone volume/mute state and changes mute only on explicit action. Does not capture audio content, record, store, or transmit audio.

The app has no ads, behavioral analytics, cloud storage of user content, or account registration. Microsoft Store purchase/update, webpages opened by the user, and support email follow their providers' policies.

Contact

Contact info@caen.co.jp with Windows version, device model, and reproduction steps. Do not send audio or secret information.

Problem diagnostics and Sentry

To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
