JavaScriptPad Privacy Policy

This policy describes JavaScriptPad, provided by CAEN Inc.

Local processing and storage

Preferences, opened-file details, unsaved code, recovery sessions and app error logs stay local. Session JSON is not encrypted. Original scripts change only when saved, and console history is not restored. Scripts run with the current user's file/network permissions. Job Objects manage execution and do not sandbox permissions.

Error diagnostics

Release builds use Sentry to investigate crashes and unexpected failures of important app operations. Diagnostics include exception types, causes, error codes, stacks, operation categories, app/OS versions and build identifiers. The SDK maintains random installation identifiers and startup, exit and crash session information, without linking them to names, emails or accounts.

Diagnostics do not attach code, results, arguments, stdin, paths, session content and user-script errors. Text that could contain private content is redacted before transmission. The app does not add screenshots, recordings, private attachments, native memory dumps, Replay, advertising, behavioral analytics or a feedback form.

Diagnostics use encrypted transport to Sentry. Unsent events may be cached in local app data and retried. The receiving service sees the connection IP. Windows, Microsoft Store and synchronization destinations you choose follow their own settings and policies.

Support and data management

Manage exported files at their chosen destinations. Local app data can include recovery backups. Preserve data you need before resetting or uninstalling.

Contact details, support messages and diagnostics you choose to email are used for support and investigation. Email info@caen.co.jp with the app/Windows versions and steps, without private files or secrets.
