Japanese Taboo Word Checker Privacy Policy
CAEN Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") establishes this policy for the handling of user information in the iOS app Japanese Taboo Word Checker (the "App").
1. Text you enter
The App processes text that you enter or paste entirely on your device. It does not send text to servers operated by us or a third party for checking, and we cannot view it.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following information in its local app container using Apple's UserDefaults:
- Your preferences for automatic draft saving, haptic feedback, and the initially displayed occasion
- Phrases you add to the exclusion list
- The entered text, selected occasion, and document type when automatic draft saving is enabled
3. External websites, copying, pasting, and sharing
The App opens an external browser only when you select its support page, web privacy policy, or provider link in Settings. The privacy practices of your browser and the destination website apply to that access.
When you use a copy, paste, or share action, the content you select is passed to the clipboard or the destination app or service. The App never shares entered text automatically. The destination provider's terms and privacy policy apply after you choose to share content.
4. Information we do not collect
The App does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos, advertising identifiers, usage history, diagnostics, or other personal data. It has no account registration, advertising, analytics, or tracking.
The App includes no third-party SDKs and requests no permission to access protected device data.
5. Disclosure to third parties
Because we collect no user data through the App, we do not sell, share, or disclose App user data to third parties. Actions in which you choose a sharing destination are described in Section 3.
6. Deleting stored information
You can delete the saved draft from Settings. You can remove excluded phrases individually, or use the reset action to clear settings, the saved draft, and excluded phrases together.
Deleting the App also deletes data stored in the App's local container.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or App functionality. We will provide notice of material changes on this page or by another appropriate method.
