ImeCursor Support
ImeCursor shows Japanese or alphanumeric input mode beside the mouse pointer.
Using the app
- The settings window opens when you launch the app. Closing it leaves the app running in the notification area.
- Change display size, position, colors, and startup behavior in Settings.
- Use the notification area icon to open Settings, pause or resume the indicator, or exit.
Indicator and supported scenarios
The indicator shows あ for Japanese input, A for alphanumeric input, and ? when the mode cannot be determined. A does not represent Caps Lock.
Japanese and English input languages are supported. The mode may be unavailable on protected screens, in elevated apps, in some apps or IMEs, or inside a remote desktop session. Accuracy in every app is not guaranteed.
If the indicator is wrong
- Select the input field again and compare the indicator with the characters you actually type.
- Check that the indicator is not paused from the notification area icon.
- If the issue persists, email us your Windows version, IME, affected app, and steps to reproduce. Do not send typed content or confidential information.
