Image Converter Privacy Policy

Image Converter processes selected images and converted outputs entirely on your iPhone or Android device.

Images and processing

Images selected in the app and converted outputs are processed entirely on the user's iPhone or Android device. The app does not upload or transmit image data to CAEN Inc. or an external conversion server.

The app may copy images to iOS temporary storage during a conversion session. Temporary data is removed when the user clears the session and when the app next launches. Images saved to Photos, Files, or another destination are not deleted by this cleanup.

On Android, selected images, thumbnails, and converted outputs are stored in a private app cache. They are removed when the user clears the selection, clears temporary data in Settings, or the app's screen state is destroyed. If cleanup is interrupted, sessions more than 24 hours old are removed at the next launch. Files already saved to Photos, a selected folder, or another share destination are not removed.

Photo and file access

On iOS, the app uses Apple's system photo picker and receives only items explicitly selected by the user. Add-only photo-library access is requested only if the user chooses Save to Photos.

On Android, the app uses Android Photo Picker and Storage Access Framework to read only the images selected by the user. On Android 8 and 9, the app may request storage write permission when the user saves to the photo library. Android 10 and later use MediaStore.

If the user selects an Android folder for saving, the app may retain that folder's access permission on the device. The user can remove the saved folder in Settings.

Local settings and backup

On iOS, conversion preferences and review-prompt state are stored in local UserDefaults. On Android, these settings, the selected save folder, and review-prompt state are stored in DataStore. The app does not send them to CAEN Inc.

If Android system backup is enabled, DataStore settings may be included in the user's Google Account backup or device-to-device transfer. Images, thumbnails, and converted outputs are kept in the app cache and are not included in backup. Android backup settings are managed in the device's system settings.

Data we do not collect

  • Personal or account information
  • Advertising identifiers, behavior, or usage analytics
  • Crash logs or other diagnostics
  • Selected images, converted images, or precise location
The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDK.

Submitting a review

After three successful conversion sessions, iOS may show Apple's review prompt once and Android may show Google Play's in-app review prompt once. If the user submits a rating or optional comment, it is sent directly to the relevant store. CAEN Inc. cannot read review text through the app or its servers. Each store handles review storage, display, and deletion under its own terms and settings.

External links and email

The Settings screen can open CAEN Inc. websites, an app store, and the user's mail app. On iOS, a support email draft includes the app version, build number, and iOS version. On Android, it includes the app version, Android version, and device model. No image file is attached automatically, and the user decides whether to send the email.
