Hold Camera Privacy Policy
Hold Camera processes photos and motion data on your device. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking, or analytics.
Camera and motion
The camera takes photos. Motion sensors provide stillness detection and the level guide; motion history is not stored. The app does not use your microphone or location.
Photos access
The app requests permission to add captured photos to Photos. It does not read your existing photo library.
Local storage and deletion
Captures and their save status are stored inside the app before being added to Photos. Unsaved photos and photos with an uncertain save result remain available for retrying or sharing. Saved local copies are pruned using limits of 24 photos and 256 MiB in total.
The capture folder is excluded from backup. Uninstalling the app deletes photos that exist only inside it. Deleting a photo inside the app does not delete a copy already added to Photos.
Preferences such as stillness sensitivity, image format, and display settings are stored locally in UserDefaults.
Transfers and sharing
The app does not upload data to its own servers or collect data through third-party SDKs. Sharing sends a photo to the destination you choose. Storage and synchronization in Photos and sharing destinations follow their respective settings and policies.
