HoldMic Support

A Windows push-to-talk app that unmutes the selected microphone while a hotkey is held.

Getting started and checks

Choose the same microphone as the call app, unmute inside that app, and run its microphone test. By default mute remains after Stop; unmute in Windows when no longer needed.

Scope and limitations

This affects every app using the same Windows microphone. It starts stopped. After Start, release all keys before a fresh hold-to-talk press. By default, Stop and Exit leave the microphone muted. Mute cannot be guaranteed for exclusive mode, hardware behavior, or forced termination of all related processes.

Audio and data

Controls the selected Windows shared microphone's mute. Does not record, read audio content, store audio, or send audio.

The app has no ads, behavioral analytics, cloud storage of user content, or account registration. Microsoft Store purchase/update, webpages opened by the user, and support email follow their providers' policies.

Contact

Contact info@caen.co.jp with Windows version, device model, and reproduction steps. Do not send audio or secret information.

Problem diagnostics and Sentry

To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
