Font Checker Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles information in the iOS app Font Checker.
Information We Collect
Font Checker does not require an account and does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
The app does not send browsing content, inspection results, device identifiers, usage data, or other personal data to CAEN or third-party servers. We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or track users.
Webpage Processing
The Safari extension reads only the tab where you explicitly invoke Font Checker from Safari's extensions menu. It does not continuously monitor the pages you browse.
To inspect a font, it processes the selected element's CSS information, a short text excerpt, page title, and URL on device. This information is not sent to CAEN or third-party servers.
Information Stored on Your Device
When history is enabled, the app stores font and typography details, a short excerpt of selected text, the page title and URL, and the inspection date in an App Group used only by Font Checker and its Safari extension. Up to 100 entries are retained.
The app also stores on-device preferences for history, detail expansion, HTML element paths, color format, and onboarding completion.
You can disable history or delete all saved history from Settings in the app. Deleting the app also removes related data under iOS management.
Permissions
activeTab lets the extension read the current tab only after you explicitly invoke it. scripting lets it display the inspection interface on that page.
nativeMessaging and App Groups are used to share preferences and history between the app and its Safari extension on device. They are not used for cross-site tracking or continuous monitoring.
Copying, Sharing, and External Links
Inspection results are copied to the clipboard or passed to the iOS share sheet only when you choose the corresponding action. Information is then handled according to the policy of the service you select.
When you open a company page, support page, original webpage, or another external link, Safari connects to that website. That website's own communications, cookies, and data collection are governed by its privacy policy.
Purchase Information
Font Checker is offered as a paid-up-front app on the App Store. Apple handles purchases, payments, receipts, and refunds.
The app does not obtain your credit card number, Apple Account password, or billing address.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app, laws, or App Store requirements change. The updated text and date will be posted on this page.
