FolderStepUp Privacy Policy

How CAEN Inc. handles information in FolderStepUp.

Local processing and storage

FolderStepUp processes mouse timing, position, modifier-key state, and Windows accessibility and Shell information locally to identify empty space in Explorer. It does not record folder names, filenames, click history, or typed text, and does not send those values to a server. It stores enabled/paused preferences, recovery copies, and an empty practice folder when Try it is selected. Pausing removes the mouse listener; Exit stops the app.

Support inquiries

Contact CAEN Inc. at info@caen.co.jp with the app and Windows versions and the steps that reproduce the issue. Remove personal or confidential information and send only necessary details.

Information provided in support emails is used to answer questions and investigate issues. Microsoft terms apply to Microsoft Store purchases, distribution and updates.

Problem diagnostics and Sentry

To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
