These Terms of Use define the conditions for using the Windows app File Date Editor provided by CAEN Inc.

These terms apply whenever you use File Date Editor. By using the app, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.
App functionality
File Date Editor is a Windows app for reviewing and changing the creation, modification, and access timestamps of ordinary files selected by the user. It provides a preview before applying changes and can undo the most recent change.
File system, Windows, and storage-provider behavior may cause timestamp rounding, later access-timestamp changes, or failures for read-only and protected files.
CAEN Inc. may change or discontinue app features, display, supported environments, or specifications when necessary.
Files and permissions
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to inspect or change files added to File Date Editor. Do not change another person's files without authorization.
You are responsible for backups, the results of changes, and any business impact caused by using the app. Keep a separate backup of important files before making changes.
Prohibited acts
You must not engage in the following acts when using File Date Editor.
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Acts that infringe the files, rights, privacy, reputation, or confidential information of third parties
- Changing files or storage locations without the necessary access rights
- Reverse engineering, modification, redistribution, unauthorized access, or use beyond normal app operation
- Acts that cause damage to CAEN Inc. or third parties
- Any other act deemed inappropriate by CAEN Inc.
Microsoft Store purchases
Purchases, installation, updates, refunds, redownloads, and payment conditions are governed by the Microsoft Store terms and settings.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
CAEN Inc. does not guarantee that File Date Editor will fit every purpose, support every file system or file, change timestamps accurately in every environment, or operate without defects.
Except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, CAEN Inc. is not liable for damages caused by use or inability to use the app, timestamp changes, lost results, or the storage and Windows environment.
Changes to these terms
CAEN Inc. may change these terms when laws, app features, or service operations change. The updated terms will be posted on this page.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes related to File Date Editor will be subject to the court jurisdiction specified by applicable law.
