DimCamera Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles user information in the iOS app DimCamera.

Basic Policy

DimCamera is a camera app designed to capture photos while keeping the screen dimmed.

CAEN Inc. does not collect, store, sell, or share names, email addresses, phone numbers, location information, captured photos, videos, advertising identifiers, tracking identifiers, or usage analytics data through DimCamera.

Photos and Camera Images

DimCamera uses the device camera to show a composition preview and take photos.

Camera image processing and photo generation occur on your device. DimCamera does not send captured images to CAEN's servers.

Captured photos are saved locally in the app and can be exported to your device's photo library according to your preferences and actions.

Photo format, grid, timer, haptics, automatic saving, and front camera mirroring preferences are also stored on your device.

Permissions Requested by the App

DimCamera requests only the permissions necessary to deliver its core features.

  • Camera: Used to display composition preview and take photos.
  • Add-Only Photo Library Access: Used to save captured photos to your Photos app. DimCamera does not read your existing photo library.

Accounts, Advertising, and Tracking

DimCamera does not require account registration or login.

DimCamera does not include advertisements, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.

Sharing and Backups

When you use sharing, a copy of the photos you select is provided to your chosen app or destination. Storage and transmission at that destination are governed by its settings and privacy policy.

Device backups and iCloud Photos synchronization of images added to your photo library follow your iOS and iCloud settings. CAEN does not receive these data.

Retention and Deletion

Photos remain in the app until you delete them there or delete the app itself. Deleting an in-app photo does not remove copies saved to Photos or shared destinations; delete those separately if needed.

Deleting the app removes photos stored only in the app and its preferences. Save photos you want to keep to Photos or Files first. Manage any copies retained in backups through your backup settings.

Temporary sharing copies are stored on device. When preparing a subsequent share, the app attempts to remove copies older than seven days. iOS may also remove temporary files.

You can change camera and add-only photo permissions in iOS Settings. Revoking permission does not automatically delete previously saved photos.

Information Provided in Support Requests

If you contact us by email, we use your sender address, message, and attachments to respond. Please avoid including unnecessary personal information or photos. Contact the same support address if you would like your inquiry information deleted.

Children's Privacy

DimCamera does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

CAEN Inc. may update this Privacy Policy as app features, legal requirements, or operations evolve. Any updates will be published on this page.
