Desktop View Lock Privacy Policy

CAEN Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in Desktop View Lock as described below.

No data sent off your device

Desktop View Lock does not send browsing history, page content, form input, saved domains, or view-mode settings to us or to any third-party server.

The app uses no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party SDKs, or external servers operated by us. We collect no data for App Store privacy disclosure purposes.

Data stored on your device

  • Website domains and their Default, Mobile, or Desktop view rules
  • The layout width used for desktop view
  • Whether the setup guide has been completed
This information is stored on your iPhone in UserDefaults or in App Group UserDefaults shared by the app and its Safari extension. We cannot access it.

Safari website access

When you enable the extension and allow website access in Safari settings, Desktop View Lock applies your saved view rule to the website you are visiting. To apply rules automatically on every website, Safari must be set to allow website access for the extension.

We use this permission only to identify the applicable website and change its view mode and page width. Information available through this permission is not sent to us or to any third party.

Deleting data

You can delete website rules individually or remove them all with Delete All Website Rules in the app. Deleting the app removes device-stored data, including website rules, layout width, and setup status.

Changes to this policy

If the app's features or data handling change, we will update this page and revise the last-updated date.
