Privacy Policy
Chroma Key processes selected images on your iPhone. It does not send images or usage information to our servers, and it does not track you.
Data We Collect
The app does not transmit or collect personal information, selected images, edits, usage history, or other user data on servers operated by us or third parties. The app does not require an account.
Data Handled on Your Device
- Selected images and the current edit are held in memory on your device while image processing is in progress.
- Export PNGs are created in the app's temporary storage. They are deleted when an edit is closed when possible, and temporary PNGs older than 24 hours are removed the next time an export is created.
- The app stores the successful export count and relevant app version in UserDefaults to control when the Apple review prompt may appear. This does not include images or personal information.
Photos, Files, and Clipboard
- The app uses Apple's Photos picker and receives only the images you explicitly select. It does not request permission to read your entire photo library.
- Add-only Photos permission is requested only when you choose Save to Photos.
- When opening an image from Files or iCloud Drive, the app reads only the file you select in the system file picker.
- When you choose Copy PNG, the generated PNG is written to the system clipboard.
Networking, SDKs, Advertising, and Tracking
The app has no networking feature, third-party SDK, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or tracking feature. Image processing is completed on the device. The app uses Apple's StoreKit system feature to request a review.
Deleting Saved Images and App Data
You can manage or delete PNGs saved to Photos or Files in those apps. Deleting Chroma Key removes its app data, including UserDefaults, through iOS.
