C Drive Free Space Support
C Drive Free Space is a small utility for checking remaining space on C:. It does not delete files or monitor other drives.
Getting started
- If the numeric icon is hidden, open the taskbar's hidden icons area and drag it onto the taskbar.
- Click the icon to open details and preferences. Closing the window or pressing Esc hides it; Exit stops the app entirely.
- Refresh now reads the capacity on C:. Copy free space copies the displayed values.
- Choose display mode, GiB or GB, refresh interval, tray appearance and warning threshold, then select Save and apply. Language changes take effect after you exit and start the app again.
Capacity and display
GiB uses base 1,024 and GB uses base 1,000. G/T/P/E in the tray abbreviates the selected unit system. Values are rounded down and may advance to a larger unit to fit the small icon. Use the tooltip or details window for values with explicit units.
If a quota applies, the app displays free space available to the current user. If C: is missing or cannot be read, it shows ? instead of retaining an old number as a current value.
The icon changes appearance when capacity is at or below the threshold in GiB. Set the threshold to zero to disable capacity warnings. The app does not play notification sounds.
Troubleshooting
After changing the language, select Exit rather than closing the window, then restart the app. If settings cannot be saved, check free space and access permissions on C:. Preferences from a newer app version are protected from being overwritten.
When contacting support, include your Windows version, app version, reproduction steps and the message shown on screen. Do not send personal or secret information.
Problem diagnostics and Sentry
To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
