C Drive Free Space Privacy Policy
C Drive Free Space is a Windows app provided by CAEN Inc. that displays free space on C: in the system tray.
Information used on your PC
- The app reads total capacity, total free space and space available to the current user on C: through Windows, and uses these values for display. It does not save capacity history.
- The app does not scan files or folders, read file names or contents, or delete, organize or clean up files.
- Preferences such as units, display mode, refresh interval, appearance, warning threshold and language are saved in the app's local data folder. Backups and retained copies of damaged preferences may also be created.
- Sign-in startup is managed by Windows StartupTask and is disabled by default.
Clipboard and diagnostic records
Copy free space writes the displayed capacity as text to the Windows clipboard. The app does not read the previous clipboard contents. Other apps and Windows clipboard history or synchronization may access copied text.
When an error occurs, a small local diagnostic log records the time, operation name, exception type and error code. It does not record exception messages, file paths, file contents, clipboard contents or capacity values. Logs stay on your PC and are not sent automatically.
Network use and deletion
Capacity display needs no internet connection or account. The app has no advertising or behavioral analytics. Problem diagnostics are sent to Sentry as described below. Microsoft Store purchases and updates and standard Windows features follow their respective settings.
For the Store version, resetting the app through Windows Installed apps clears its local settings and diagnostic records. Text retained in Windows clipboard history can be deleted separately through Windows settings.

Problem diagnostics and Sentry
To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
