Boiled Egg Timer Privacy Policy
Boiled Egg Timer uses no advertising, analytics, third-party SDKs, or tracking. Timer and preference data stays on your device.
Data Collection and External Transmission
The app does not collect or send names, email addresses, location data, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, usage activity, or other personal data to CAEN Inc. servers.
The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting service, third-party SDK, or tracking technology.
Data Stored on Your Device
- Yolk doneness, egg size and temperature, and personal timing adjustment
- End sound, haptic feedback, and screen-awake preferences
- Timer start and end times required to restore an active timer
- Result feedback and state used to avoid showing the review prompt too often
This data is stored only on your device to calculate and restore timers and adapt future timing to your preference. It is not sent to CAEN Inc. servers.
Notifications and Live Activity
If you grant permission, the app schedules a local notification through Apple system services to alert you when the timer ends. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
While cooking, a supported iPhone can display the remaining time as a Live Activity. Notifications and Live Activity processing occur on the device and are not sent to CAEN Inc.
External Page
The support website opens in an external browser only when you select it in Settings. Access to this website is subject to the data practices of your browser and the website hosting provider.
Deleting Data
Use Reset All Settings in the app to restore doneness, egg conditions, personal timing adjustment, sound, and screen preferences to their defaults. Uninstalling the app removes data stored by the app on your device.
Changes to This Policy
If app functionality or data handling changes, this page will be updated. Material changes will also be communicated in the app or store information when appropriate.
