BatteryTray Privacy Policy
BatteryTray displays battery levels that Windows makes available for paired Bluetooth devices on this PC.
Information read on this PC
BatteryTray reads device names, identifiers used to distinguish devices in the app, connection status, and battery levels exposed by Windows or a device. If a device provides the standard Bluetooth Low Energy Battery Service, BatteryTray may read its level over Bluetooth. Available information depends on the device and its driver.
BatteryTray does not require administrator access, install a device driver, or change Bluetooth pairing information.
Information stored on this PC
App settings and device identifiers used to avoid repeating the same low-battery notification are stored in the Windows app-specific data area. BatteryTray does not keep a long-term battery history or a saved device list.
Sharing and third parties
BatteryTray does not send the device information or battery levels it reads to the developer's servers. The app has no ads, analytics, user accounts, or developer-operated cloud sync. We do not sell or share the information read by the app.
Purchases, app delivery and updates through Microsoft Store, and Windows diagnostic features are provided under Microsoft's services and your settings.
Diagnostic records and support requests
If an operation fails, BatteryTray may store the operation type, time, exception type, and error code on this PC to help diagnose the issue. Diagnostic records do not include device names, Bluetooth addresses, or raw exception messages. They have a size limit and are never sent automatically.
If you email support, the email address, message, and any information you choose to attach are used to answer your request and investigate the issue. Review diagnostic records before choosing to share them.
Startup and notifications
Starting BatteryTray when you sign in to Windows and low-battery notifications are off by default. They run only if you turn them on in the app. Windows notification settings may suppress a notification. BatteryTray does not re-enable startup if Windows has disabled it.
Deleting settings and diagnostics
Reset BatteryTray's data in Windows app settings or uninstall the app to remove its local settings and diagnostic records. BatteryTray does not remove Bluetooth pairing information.
