AudioLevelMeter Support
A Windows utility for checking microphone and speaker digital signal levels.
Getting started and checks
Check the selected device and Windows microphone access. Exclusive mode may prevent metering. Bluetooth microphone use may change playback quality.
Scope and limitations
Meters show dBFS before Windows volume adjustment. Sound pressure, environmental noise, and True Peak are not measured. Devices, drivers, or exclusive mode can prevent readings. Meeting-app mute state is not measured.
Audio and data
When microphone metering is enabled, a shared input stream is opened and packets are immediately released. No audio files, conversation content, or reading history are stored. Volume and mute settings are unchanged.
The app has no ads, behavioral analytics, cloud storage of user content, or account registration. Microsoft Store purchase/update, webpages opened by the user, and support email follow their providers' policies.
Contact
Contact info@caen.co.jp with Windows version, device model, and reproduction steps. Do not send audio or secret information.
Problem diagnostics and Sentry
To fix problems, the app sends error types, causes and stacks, OS and app versions, a random installation identifier, and startup, exit and crash session counts to Sentry. Diagnostic data is processed to exclude personal file or folder names and paths, typed text, clipboard content, audio and device identifiers. The app does not send advertisements, screenshots, interaction recordings or memory dumps. Network IP addresses are processed by the service during transmission. Diagnostics are used to investigate problems; the main feature remains available offline.
