Aozora Bunko Gacha Privacy Policy
CAEN Inc. (we) establishes this policy for information handled by the Aozora Bunko Gacha iOS app (the App).
1. Data collection by CAEN
The App uses no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs and sends no personal information or usage history to our servers. It does not track users across apps or websites.
2. Data stored on the device
The App stores the following information on the device to provide its features:
- Books added to the library and gacha history
- Favorites, completion status, reading positions, and bookmarks
- Reading, gacha, and iCloud sync settings
- Book text and images downloaded for offline reading
3. iCloud sync
When the user enables iCloud sync, the App stores library items, reading positions, favorites, completion status, bookmarks, deletion state, and related data in the user's private Apple iCloud Documents container. Legacy data, if present, is migrated once from iCloud key-value storage.
Apple manages iCloud data under its terms and privacy policy. We do not access its contents.
4. Connections to Aozora Bunko
When a work is first opened or saved for offline reading, the App connects directly from the device to the Aozora Bunko website to retrieve text and images. Aozora Bunko may process connection information such as the IP address, as with ordinary web access. This traffic does not pass through our servers.
5. In-App Purchase
The App uses Apple's StoreKit to remove the book limit. Apple processes purchases and restorations. Payment and purchase information is not sent to our servers, and the App checks the entitlement provided by the App Store on the device.
6. Deleting data
Downloaded text and images can be deleted from Settings. Deleting the App removes all on-device data, including the library. Handling of synced data also depends on the user's Apple iCloud settings.
7. Children's privacy
We do not collect information that identifies users of the App.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy in response to changes in law, features, or services. Material changes will be announced on our website or through another appropriate channel.
